Recipe: Jo’s Easy Meat Balls

Jo’s Easy Meat Balls


  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 medium onion
  • 60 ml oats
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 tsp spices any meat spice that you enjoy
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Fry the onions in a little oil, till brown
  • Then add to the mince
  • Add the oats, salt, pepper and spices and knead till all ingredients are well combined, then add egg and mix through
  • Use two sheets of wax paper, place one on breadboard, make meatballs and place them on top of the wax paper
  • Once finished cover with other sheet of wax paper and place in the freezer for 15 min to set
  • Then place in frying pan with hot oil


This mixture can also be used to make burger patties.
