Mustard Chicken

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 6 Chicken pieces of your choice
  • 10 ml salt
  • 15 ml sugar
  • 5 ml mustard powder I use Hot English Mustard powder
  • 15 ml corn flour
  • 15 ml oil
  • 15 ml vinegar
  • 50 ml mayonnaise
  • 200 ml boiling water

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200*C/392*F/Gas mark 6
  • Mix the sugar, mustard powder and corn flour
  • Add the oil and vinegar and stir well
  • Add the mayonnaise and water and mix well, using a whist, to make a sauce
  • Place the chicken pieces in a medium casserole dish and pour the sauce over
  • Bake, covered, for 20 minutes
  • Remove the covering and turn the chicken pieces
  • Grill uncovered for a further 10 minutes
  • Serve with vegetables and rice
