Sweet & Spicy Club Steak

  • 4 club steaks
  • olive oil

Sauce

  • 250 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 250 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 30 ml ginger (freshly grated )
  • 10 ml honey
  • 10 ml soy sauce
  • 1 chilli (seeded and diced)

Steak

  1. Brush the club steaks with a little of the olive oil and cook over medium coals for about 4 minutes per side, or until done as desired

Sauce

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients together and simmer in a small saucepan for a few minutes

  2. Serve the steaks drizzled with the sauce

Side-serving suggestion: Serve with a buttery sweet potato mash with a squeeze of orange juice or braaied mielies with a chilli and lime butter or braaied butternut halves stuffed with Feta and baby spinach and wrapped in foil.

Can also be made with T-bone or Porterhouse.
