Yes, thats right, Steven and I finally got married on Friday, June 26th at 8:30!! I wasn’t nervous at all, that was until we arrived at the Marriage officers office. It took about 15 minutes for all the formalities, then we came home and cut the cake my new father-in-law baked for us. It was divine. After cutting the cake and drinking some champaign, my dad took us out to lunch. It was an awesome day all round.

Steven even paid “lobolo” to my dad to “pay” for me, LOL. When Steven and I started dating my dad told me that when we get married, lobolo must be paid. He wasn’t serious of course, but we couldn’t leave it there. He was very chuffed with his farm and animals. This has been framed and is standing on his desk at work.
On Saturday, we had a braai (bbq) with a few family members. It was great.
We got a few lovely gifts:

From my Uncle Phillip and his girlfriend Rosemary: Champaign glasses and coffee mugs
Heather and Brett: 2 gorgeous photo frames
Aunty Margie and Uncle Rob: A gift voucher which we used to buy a steamer
